Say what you will after this,
Here is my way to joy and bliss,
How I achieve stillness and calm,
And still shall till kingdom come.
Not arranged in any order nor aim,
But only to have some rhyme,
As you may have guessed, if you know me,
Reading comes second, you’ll agree.
A good book stimulates my senses,
Mutes and cancels all distractions,
Elevates, transports me to the heavens,
New worlds, possibilities, a book opens.
Now to my main affair,
That is also mentioned elsewhere,
And is now my study, focus, and muse,
Will now try in a verse.
By His amazing grace,
That I can also easily trace,
She crossed my path,
And had to chase by Faith.
A creature wholly my equal,
Beautiful, kind and respectful,
Has brought my chase to an end,
And unlocked what once was a dead end.
There shall be more verses to follow,
How I once was hollow,
How she filled the space with love,
And really made me laugh.
And during the judgements,
When questioned on my achievements,
The most brilliant shall be,
That I persuaded her to marry me.
