There is a story in our school,
Of the prettiest girl around, 100 % cool,
Ebony face and brown eyes,
How those eyes could flash at you!

Boys swooned over her in droves,
Boys hung around her by the hour,
But she loved none of these,
She loved the quietest boy next door,

She was tops in all what she did,
It never once went to her head,
She had everything it seemed,
Except the quietest boy next door,

Other boys could offer more,
But she loved the boy next door,
The quietest of them, a promising boy,
Who never said a word to her.

Then one day a teenage star joined the school,
He offered to take her out,
So she forgot the boy next door,
She was smitten by the teenage star.

Very soon she was the talk of the school,
Pretty clothes and shiny cars,
The teenage star offered more,
But she missed classes and failed in all subjects.

Then one day the teenage star left the school,
Never to come back, without a word,
Left her nothing, just an expanding belly,
Do I have to tell you more?
She came back to the quietest boy!

But the boy had moved on,
Had excelled and was now studying medicine,
Do I have to tell you more?
She’s now a teenage mum,
Saddest girl we’ve ever seen.
