Stay away from the altars and the malls,

Stay away from the markets and the stalls,

Stay away through the night,

Day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute.

Stay away from the rumors and fables,

Stay away from gossip and fake news,

Stay away from the pain and worries,

That is not that real like you.

Stay away past the fear and rot,

Stay away from the anarchy,

And protect your heart, your precious heart,

Worth more than the salary and vanity.

Stay away, oh my heart, though I have no right to say,

Though never, never equal to the task, I have to say,

Who knows who shall be infected, who knows who will die?

Please stay away, though you believe it or not, stay away.

Still, though, the ancient words still whisper,

As he died to make men holy,

Let us stay away to make others safer,

And say your mea culpa, to atone our folly.
